How much do software upgrades cost?
Upgrades for MacPractice software are included in the annual support fee.

Do you have a Windows version of MacPractice?
No. We have been committed to the Macintosh Operating System since our first practice management software was developed in 1984. However various technologies make it possible for our clients to use other Windows applications on a Mac, affordably and quickly. We support a growing number of bridges to Windows applications from MacPractice for our clients, and we maintain a moderate level of expertise with cross platform enabling technologies.

Can I migrate my current data to MacPractice?
Yes. We can move your data from your current Windows or Mac software into MacPractice as we have for many others. We maintain a particular expertise in migrating an extensive amount of data from DentalMac.

Is your software compatible with the Intel Processor?
Yes. Our software is a Universal Binary which is optimized for performance on both Intel and PowerPC processors.

Is MacPractice software compatible with additional software / hardware interfaces?
Yes. MacPractice supports a wide variety of third party software / hardware interfaces.

What kind of support does MacPractice offer?
We provide toll free telephone support, email support, and we can utilize remote screensharing for troubleshooting.

Is MacPractice HIPAA compliant?
Yes. MacPractice software is HIPAA compliant.
- Does MacPractice address the new forms and issues related to NPI (National Provider Identifier)?
Yes. MacPractice includes the new CMS and ADA forms with options for completion to suit every scenario for each individual carrier.
- What about training options?
MacPractice offers monthly hands on training in our National training Center. On site training and installation is available in the US and elsewhere from highly qualified regional MacPractice Practice Consultants and National Trainers. Remote one on one training utilizing screen sharing is available from corporate trainers by appointment.
- Is there any FREE training?
There are over 500 QuickTime movies in the MacPractice Help file. Also for those that already know how to use MacPractice, we offer free 30 minute mini-class web trainings weekly. Mini-classes typically cover new features or timely topics (e.g. NPI) or features of the software that may not be used daily (e.g. monthly statements).

Data Migration
We are absolutely committed to making the transition to our software as smooth as possible. We specialize in providing smooth migration from MediMac and most PC and Mac products. Most conversions are performed in house by conversion experts, making them cost-effective and fast. Products we have performed in house conversions for include Medisoft, Maximeyes, AltaPoint, PracticeMaker, and Lytec. We can also convert any Mac based solution.
